5 Intensity Levels
Calibrate exactly how many leading glyphs are weighted per word. Level 1 offers gentle sub-conscious nudges; Level 5 provides maximum saccadic pull for rapid scanning.
Visual Highlighting
Select the anchor that fits your eyes. HalfBold Reader includes 5 highlight styles.
Ink & Fade Contrast Separation
Bolding alone can create harsh contrast on dark screens. HalfBold Reader lets you set the color of the emphasized letters (Ink) and of the rest of the word (Fade) separately for comfortable reading in low light.

Questions
Can I use OpenDyslexic or my own font?
Yes, for free. OpenDyslexic and other reading fonts can be applied to any webpage, along with custom colors and spacing.
Can HalfBold turn on automatically on the sites I read?
Yes. Add a site to your site rules once and HalfBold formats it on every visit; on other sites it stays off until you press Alt+B (Option+B on Mac).
Can I change how strong the emphasis is?
Yes. Choose an intensity level and one of five highlight styles (bold, underline, marker, dotted or dashed underline), and set separate colors for the emphasized letters and the rest of the word.
